At Light and Hope, we are more than just a care facility; we are a family. Our dedicated team of caregivers, educators, and volunteers works tirelessly to ensure that every child in our care receives the attention and resources they need to thrive. From specialized education programs to tailored medical and rehabilitation services, we are driven by a mission to see each child reach their fullest potential.
Korogocho, like many informal settlements, faces significant socioeconomic challenges such as poverty, inadequate access to basic services, and limited opportunities for children and youth with disabilities. These challenges make individuals with disabilities more susceptible to neglect, abuse, and social isolation. Recognizing these urgent needs, Light and Hope was established to provide holistic care that not only meets the physical and medical needs of children but also fosters their emotional, intellectual, and social development.
Our journey has been one of growth, learning, and deep impact. We continue to strive toward creating a world where children and youth with disabilities are not defined by their limitations but celebrated for their unique abilities and potential. We invite you to join us on this journey—whether as a volunteer, donor, or advocate—and together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future for every child.
