Light and Hope for Disabled Children is a compassionate organization located in Korogocho, one of Nairobi's largest informal settlements, in Ruaraka Sub-County, Nairobi County. Since our founding on June 30, 2008, we have been committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children and youth with disabilities, addressing the unique challenges faced by this vulnerable group.
Our organization serves over 147 children and youth with disabilities from the Korogocho area and neighboring communities such as Kariobangi, Dandora, Huruma, Baba Ndogo, and Lucky Summer. We believe that every child, regardless of their abilities, deserves the opportunity to grow in a safe, supportive environment where they are valued and respected.
